Traffic on the strategic Jammu-Srinagar national highway was resumed on Tuesday after remaining closed for vehicular movement for a couple of hours.
A J&K Traffic Police official said, “Traffic restored at Dalwas on Jammu Srinagar NHW. Slow movement due to single lane and poor surface condition of road at Dalwas.”
” Commuters are advised to follow lane discipline, overtaking will lead to congestion”, he said.
“Moreover, people are advised/requested not ply against advisory/traffic plan in view of possible traffic congestion because of narrow carriage way between Nashree and Banihal on Jammu-Srinagar NHW”, he said.
