Jammu/Srinagar, July 14: The Traffic Police Headquarters, Jammu and Kashmir, has issued a detailed travel advisory for July 15 in light of the ongoing Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra and prevailing road conditions on several key routes, including the Jammu–Srinagar National Highway.A statement issued here said that as per the traffic plan for July 15, subject to fair weather and road conditions, SANJY convoy, LMVs, passenger and private vehicles shall be permitted from both directions on Jammu–Srinagar NH-44. “HMVs will be allowed on alternate days only and Traffic Control Units (TCUs) in Jammu and Srinagar shall coordinate with TCU Ramban before allowing movement,” it said. The statement said that cut-off timings for LMVs, passenger and private vehicles include Nagrota (Jammu) to Srinagar: 0600 hrs – 1200 hrs, Jakheni (Udhampur) to Srinagar: 0700 hrs – 1300 hrs, and Qazigund to Jammu: 1130 hrs – 1400 hrs. “No vehicle will be permitted to travel before or after the designated cut-off timings. Only designated HPSVs will be permitted, other HMVs remain restricted as per SDM Chhatroo and SDM Kokernag.
