Jammu/Srinagar, July 11: The Traffic Police Headquarters, J&K, Friday issued a comprehensive traffic advisory for July 11 to ensure the smooth flow of vehicles on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44), especially in view of the ongoing Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra.A statement issued here said that as per the traffic movement plan for July 11, subject to weather and road conditions, SANJY convoys, LMVs and private vehicles will be allowed from both directions on NH-44. “HMVs will be permitted on alternate days, clearance from Traffic Control Units (TCUs) of Jammu and Srinagar in coordination with TCU Ramban is mandatory,” the statement said.As far the cut-off timings, Nagrota (Jammu) to Srinagar: 06:00 – 12:00 hrs, Jakheni (Udhampur) to Srinagar: 07:00 – 13:00 hrs, Qazigund to Jammu: 11:30 – 14:00 hrs. “HMVs from Qazigund will be allowed towards Jammu only till 19:00 hrs, subject to clearance. Mughal Road: LMVs allowed from both sides; HMVs (up to 10 tyres) permitted from Shopian to Poonch. Sinthan–Kishtwar–Anantnag Road (NH-244): LMVs and designated HPSVs permitted from both directions during fixed hours,” the advisory reads. It states that for SSG Road (Srinagar-Sonamarg-Gumari): Minamarg to Srinagar: 05:00 – 10:00 hrs, Sonamarg to Kargil: 11:30 – 17:30 hrs. “Travellers are strongly advised to confirm road status before journeying.
