“If debris will be cleared from the highway, then two way traffic will be allowed on both sides of the highway on Thursday,” he said.
The NH44 is a critical link between the Valley and the rest of the country. Frequent closures, mostly due to landslides, leading to a shortage of essential supplies and a surge in prices.
It is the only major surface link connecting Kashmir valley with the rest of the country.
