Jammu, Aug 14: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Jammu & Kashmir on Monday said that all traditional political parties including Congress, NC, PDP and also their “newly-created” ones, who ruled the erstwhile J&K State for more than seven decades, have badly exploited the people.
Kuldeep Kumar Rao, State Organization Building Committee & Manifesto drafting Committee Member, AAP, J&K-UT, in a press statement issued here, said, “Nothing in the name of development is visible on the ground and they (traditional parties) are squarely responsible for all evils, neglect, under-development, corruption, nepotism and discrimination with Jammu & Ladhak regions in general and the rural areas of Kashmir Division in particular.”
“They are primarily answerable to not exploiting the huge potential of hydroelectric projects, huge mineral wealth like world-famous sapphire, gypsum, ruthless cutting and wasting forest wealth, huge scenic spots in the entire Chenab region, Pir Panjal area, the rural areas of Kashmir Division as well as the remaining Jammu Division,” he said.
The NC and Congress always remained against decentralization of powers as a result, far-off hilly and remote areas of the entire J&K State remained neglected and under-developed, he said, adding that in the two-year’s coalition government of BJP-PDP, they also followed the same path.
“We have to discard all these spent forces in whatever colour they come before the masses,” Rao said. He cautioned the masses not to get “misled” by the “Pseudo-Development, Pseudo-Secularism and Pseudo-Nationalism” of Congress, BJP and newly floated political parties by the former PDP and Congress leaders. “They all are the chips of the same block,” he said.
The AAP leader criticized the LG-led government and accused it of throwing the entire Jammu region in the dark due to unscheduled cuts. “The BJP-led government has been completely exposed because of white lies, corruption, unemployment, unprecedented price rise of LPG, diesel, petrol, fertilizers, edible oil, pulses, hike in transport charges, etc,” he said, adding that the people are fed up with them and badly see an alternative in the AAP because of its “magical pro-poor, pro- workers, laborers and pro-people policies” in Delhi and Punjab.
“Enough is enough. All the people cannot be befooled for all the time as they have seen through the game of polarization of all traditional political parties,” he added.
