Ganderbal, Apr 12: In a delightful surge of tourism, both local and non-local visitors have flocked to the renowned tourist attractions of Kashmir, notably Ganderbal district, over the past few days. On the second day of Eid-ul-Fitr, the region witnessed a significant influx of tourists at various sites, including Tulip Garden, Mughal Garden, and Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district, home to Mansbal Lake, Sonamarg, and Naranag.
Mansbal Lake, lake emerged as a highlight for visitors, drawing praise and admiration from houseboat owners who expressed gratitude for the surge in tourist footfall. They noted a substantial boost in earnings within the local tourism sector, attributing it to the increased number of visitors flocking to Mansbal Lake for Eid celebrations.
Local tourists, particularly those from Srinagar, echoed similar sentiments, emphasizing the natural splendor and breathtaking vistas of Ganderbal district. Highlighting not only the popular destinations like Sonamarg and Naranag but also Mansbal Lake, they expressed sheer delight and awe at the picturesque landscape offered by the region.
Situated in the Ganderbal district of Jammu and Kashmir, Mansbal Lake derives its name from ‘manasrover,’ boasting a serene ambiance that captivates visitors. Surrounded by quaint villages such as Jerobal and Kundbal, the lake serves as a serene retreat amidst nature’s bounty.
The Eid festivities also witnessed a vibrant atmosphere at Mughal Gardens, including Nishat and Shalimar, where visitors reveled in the scenic beauty. Additionally, the Tulip Garden, a popular tourist hotspot, welcomed numerous visitors since its opening in late March this year, further enhancing the tourism experience in Kashmir.
Reports indicate a staggering influx of tourists, both locals and outsiders, exploring the enchanting landscapes of Kashmir during the Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations. The robust tourism activity has not only delighted visitors but also provided a significant economic boost to locals associated with the tourism sector, signalling promising prospects for the region’s tourism industry.
