Srinagar, Aug 06: Tehsil Legal Services Committee (TLSC) Pattan on Saturday organized an awareness programme on ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ scheme, and ‘Save Girl Child’ at Government Higher Secondary School, Pattan.
The programme was part of the plan of action and calendar of activities issued by H&K Legal Services Authority for the year 2023.
In a statement issued here, Secretary District Legal Services Authority Baramulla lqbal Ahmad Aakhoon and Chairman Tehsil Legal Services Committee Pattan Altaf Hussain Khan, Principal Government Higher Secondary School Pattan, Bar President Advocate Showkat Ali and Advocate Nazir Ahmad Lone spoke on the occasion.
They threw light upon the laws relating to the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao scheme, and the protection of women from domestic violence. Panel lawyers, PLV’s and students participated in the awareness programme, the statement added.
