Kulgam, Oct 25: The District Administration of Kulgam organized public outreach programs in three key blocks of the district – Devsar, Kulgam, and D.H. Pora, as part of its continuous effort to engage with the public and address their concerns.
The Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Kulgam, Dr Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat, presided over the weekly grievance redressal camp at Kulgam. The program witnessed active participation from residents of Kachohalan, Nillow, Mohammad Pora, Tengsergam, Chawalgam, and other areas. People raised a variety of developmental and welfare demands, including the segregation of power feeders at Chawalgam and the completion of the remaining portion of the road at Zaldarpora, among other requests.
Members of the Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRI) advocated for developmental requirements in their respective areas. Government officials and department heads present at the event addressed the queries and grievances of the attendees related to their respective departments.
Dr Bilal attentively listened to the public’s issues and addressed some immediate grievances on the spot. The event aimed to provide swift solutions and engage with the public on matters of importance. The grievance redressal camp was attended by ADC Vikar Ahmad Giri, ACR Imtiyaz Ul Aziz, ACD Mohammad Imran, ACP Sharjeel Ali, and other district officers and officials. In addition to grievance redressal, those present at the event also took the Ekta pledge.
In Devsar and D H Pora, the Block Diwas was chaired by ADDC Showkat Ahmad Rather and SDM Noorabad, Bashir Ul Hassan, respectively. These sessions enabled government officials to hear the issues raised by the public and work towards their resolution, fostering a stronger connection between the administration and the community.
