Three persons arrested for illegal excavation & transportation of minerals in Budgam

Jammu and Kashmir Police on Sunday arrested three persons & seized 03 vehicles for illegal excavation & transportation of minerals in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district.

 

 

A police spokesman said, “Police Station Chadoora intercepted 02 tippers loaded with illegally excavated soil at Magraypora Chadoora, who were found carrying soil which they had excavated from Government land at Magraypora. 02 drivers arrested on spot. Similarly, Police Station Beerwah intercepted a tractor which was involved in excavation and transportation of minerals from Nalla Sukhnag. Tractor was seized driver arrested on spot.”

 

 

The arrested drivers were identified as Ayaz Farooq son of Farooq Ahmed Darzi resident of Kultreh Chadoora, Mudasir Ahmed Khan son of Abdul Gani Khan resident of Nowpora Pulwama, Firdous Ahmed Sheikh son of Abdul Ahad Sheikh resident of Sutharan.Registration numbers of seized tippers are JK13E-8774,JKO4B-8247, Tractor without registeration number.”

 

The spokesman said that case FIR numbers 163/2022 and 139/2022 have been registered at Police Station Chadoora & Police Station Beerwah respectively under relevant sections of law and investigation taken up.
