Three people, including a woman, were killed while eight others sustained injuries in a mysterious blast at the Drass area of district Kargil in the union territory of Ladakh on Friday.
Medical Superintendent District hospital Kargil said that a woman who was brought to the district hospital with the rest of the injured succumbed to her injuries on the way to hospital taking the toll to three.
A police official said that a blast occured on Friday in Kabadi Nallah in a Scrap Shop leading to the death of three persons, including a woman and injuries to eight others.
He said that soon after the information recieved, the police party was sent to the spot of the incident to ascertain the facts. “We have registered a case and investigations are on,” he said.
The injured persons were yet to be identified, police said that the blast occurred at Kabadi Nallah in a Scrap Shop.
Adding that all the injured were referred to a nearby hospital for treatment.
