‘The Caravan’ by Ganderbal’s 17-yr-old poet released

Srinagar, Nov 4: A debut book of Faizan Manzoor, a 17-year-old aspiring poet from the Panzin Kangan area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district, was released on Thursday. Titled ‘’THE CARAVAN’’, the book has been published by Renascence Publications Anantnag Private Limited. 
The book was released by Chief Education Officer (CEO) Majid Ahmad Kohli at Government Boys Higher Secondary School Kangan, Rajbagh here. It book is available on Amazon.
Among the guests present were Sub Divisional Magistrate Kangan Javid Ahmad Rather (KAS), ZEOs Zone Kangan and Hariganiwan, DDC Kangan, Principal GBHS, teachers, and other dignitaries of Kangan town.
“The book is indeed a great contribution at such a young age. Faizan has paved a way for all the teenagers of his age bar to showcase their talent,” Jaffar Ahmad, a reader told Rising Kashmir. 
Nasir Ahmad, a teacher at Government Boys Higher Secondary School Kangan said, “We are delighted to have such a talented child in our school who wrote a book at such a young age.”  
Studying in 11th standard, Faizan is known to his classmates as a brilliant student who has acquired A+ grades in every examination. “Besides impressive academic record, Faizan is also an excellent debater and orator and had bagged several prizes in various competitions,” said his classmate.
Talking to Rising Kashmir, Faizan said, “This is just the beginning. I look forward to writing more fiction and non-fiction, prose and poetry in coming years.”
He said the book has three parts: first is Quotes and Complex, second is Long Poems, and third is Verse and Novels. “It is based on motivation and inspiration that aims to change the socio-moral, socio-economic, and social development of the global society,” he said.
Faizan said that in the book, he specifically addresses youth, urging them towards personal, intellectual, and social development so that they can take their place in global space.
