Additional Director General Police Kashmir Range Vijay Kumar on Tuesday said that two terrorists were killed in Shopian gunfight and one among them was involved in killing of Kashmir migrant Sanjay Sharma.
While quoting ADGP Kashmir, Kashmir Zone Police said, “#ShopianEncounterUpdate: Killed #terrorists have been identified as Morifat Maqbool & Jazim Farooq @ Abrar of #terror outfit LeT. #Terrorist Abrar was involved in killing of Kashmiri Pandit late Sanjay Sharma: ADGP Kashmir.”
In February this year, Sanjay Sharma was shot dead by terrorists barely 100 meters away from his home in Achan in Pulwama when he was on his way to a local market for a stroll.
Earlier, Police said that an encounter broke out between security forces and terrorists in Alshipora area of South Kashmir’s Shopian district.
