Srinagar, May 15: The State Investigation Agency (SIA) on Monday conducted raids at multiple locations in Jammu and Poonch district in connection with terror cases.
The SIA sleuths assisted by the Jammu and Kashmir Police and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) showed up at the locations early Monday morning and raided the multiple locations.
A police officer confirmed to Rising Kashmir that searches were conducted at multiple locations in Bhatindi and Vidhata nagar in Jammu city and Mendhar border belt of Poonch district.
‘The searches, which were aided by police, were part of an ongoing probe into cases of supporting terror activities,” he said.
In Jammu raids were conducted on houses Anwar Hussain S/o Abdul Aziz resident of Vidhata Nagar Bathindi and Sarpanch Hafeez-Ullah S/o Barkat Ali resident of Bathindi, Jammu.
The police official said the terror funding case is under investigation with SIA Kashmir to unearth the logistic and funding support channels of terrorism, emanating from Pakistan and it’s ISI network.
“Wide range of subjects and locations to be scanned and analysed, current searches have been an essential aspect of the investigation to collect relevant and vital evidences for the logical conclusion of the case,” he said.
The police official said they have seized some electronic gadgets, incriminating material and other corroborative evidence during these searches.
He said no arrests were made from any locations and investigation of the case is going on.
