Pays homage to martyr soldiers and police personnel
JAMMU, Nov 29: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Friday reiterated the government’s commitment to eradicating the terror ecosystem in Jammu and Kashmir (J&K), calling on all sections of society to unite in the fight against terrorism for the future security of the people.
“We are committed to demolishing the entire terror ecosystem from J&K, and terrorists will be wiped out completely,” the LG declared during his address at the Ati Vishnu Mahayagya in Pouni, Reasi. The event, organized annually by Pujya Sant Shri Bal Yogeshwar Ji Maharaj, paid homage to the martyrdom of soldiers and police personnel.
The LG expressed deep gratitude to Sant Shri Bal Yogeshwar Ji Maharaj for hosting the Mahayagya, a significant event that recalls the sacrifice of brave soldiers who laid down their lives for the unity, integrity, peace, and progress of the nation. “The nation will forever remain indebted to the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the greater cause,” Sinha remarked, emphasizing the government’s efforts to build a progressive and modern J&K that aligns with the dreams of these martyrs.
Sinha also highlighted the significant strides J&K has made towards growth and prosperity under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the past 50 months. “We envisioned a prosperous J&K, and in the last four years, we have made substantial progress in infrastructure development, creating an environment conducive to industry, and attracting investments in various sectors of the economy,” he said.
The LG credited the success of the region’s development to people-centric policies, progressive reforms, and the government’s unwavering focus on empowering youth, women, farmers, and marginalized communities. “This approach has paved the way for rapid and inclusive development across the Union Territory,” Sinha added.
He urged farmers and stakeholders in agriculture and allied sectors to take full advantage of the government’s Holistic Agriculture Development Program, which aims to enhance productivity and ensure sustainability in the farming sector.
In a symbolic gesture, the LG, along with Sant Shri Bal Yogeshwar Das Ji Maharaj, also unveiled an idol of Bhagwan Narayan during the event, marking a moment of spiritual significance for the attendees.
