Pulwama, May 2: In a major crackdown on terror networks, Jammu and Kashmir Police, in a joint operation with 44 Rashtriya Rifles and CRPF’s 183 Battalion, apprehended a terrorist associate in Pulwama district.
The operation was carried out at Qasbayar (CB Nath Road), where the accused, identified as Mohd Umar Malik of Kachipora, was taken into custody. Police said arms and explosives, including a pistol, a magazine, live rounds, and hand grenades, were recovered from his possession.
A case has been registered at Rajpora Police Station under relevant sections of law, and further investigation is underway.
Police reiterated their zero-tolerance policy against terrorism and said such operations will continue to dismantle terror networks. Authorities have also urged the public to remain vigilant and share any credible information with security agencies.
