Srinagar, Dec 04: A Territorial Army (TA) soldier was critically injured after terrorists opened fire on him in the Tral area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Wednesday.
The injured soldier, identified as Delhair Mushtaq, son of Mushtaq Ahmad Sofi, a resident of Sofigund Tral, was on leave and was returning home from his posting at Pattan, Baramulla.
According to a police officer, the attack took place in the Awantipora area of Tral, where terrorists opened fire on the soldier. “He was shot in the leg and was immediately rushed to the hospital. His condition is reported to be stable,” the official said.
