Syed Abid Rashid Shah bereaved, condolences pour in from all quarters

A pall of grief descended upon the Shah family as Syed Abdul Rashid Shah, a retired Divisional Forest Officer, and the father of Syed Abid Rashid Shah, Secretary of Tourism and Culture Kashmir, passed away on Wednesday after a brief illness. The news of his demise has prompted an outpouring of heartfelt condolences from all segments of society.

The funeral prayers for Syed Abdul Rashid Shah were held in the serene surroundings of Peerbagh, within the tranquil lawns of Noorani Masjid. The event witnessed a significant turnout, with people from diverse backgrounds and walks of life coming together to pay their respects and bid a final farewell to the departed soul.

The Fateha (Chahrum), is scheduled to take place on Saturday at 10 am at the ancestral graveyard situated in Mohalla Gupkar Nishat. Subsequently, a Fateh Khawani ceremony will be held at J55 Govt Quarters, Jawahar Nagar, Srinagar.

In the wake of this somber occasion, numerous figures from the social, political, and cultural spheres have expressed their condolences to the grieving Shah family. Their heartfelt messages and gestures serve as a testament to the high regard and esteem in which Syed Abdul Rashid Shah was held within the community.
