Srinagar, Nov 14: In a major relief to the bereaved families, J&K Bank facilitated the swift settlement of insurance claims of seventy deceased borrowers who had their accounts in different branches of the Bank.  The claims worth Rs 1.95 Crores under MetLoan & Life Suraksha (MLLS) were paid to the legal heirs of deceased customers belonging to Baramulla zone during last few months.
The Bank’s Zonal Head (Baramulla) Imtiyaz Ahmad Bhat handed over the cheques to the nominees/legal heirs of the deceased customers in presence of Cluster Head (Baramulla) Sheikh Mohammad Muzaffer, Cluster Head (Kupwara) Shadab Mehboob, Zonal Head (Credit Life – PNB MetLife) Irfan Ali Zargar and other officials of the Bank and PNB MetLife including Regional Manager – Showkat Ahmad Lone.
Expressing gratitude to the Bank and its Insurance partner PNB MetLife, claimants described settlement of their claims as a big relief for the families during the toughest time of their lives.
While handing over the cheques, both the Bank officials and representatives of insurance company highlighted the significance of the timely insurance of loans. “With a single-premium option alongside the bank funding available for the customers, borrowers can safeguard their families against such unforeseen eventualities”, said Zonal Head (Baramulla) as he urged the customers to opt for getting their loans insured under different schemes available to them.
Referring to the descriptions voiced by the family members of the deceased clients, Zonal Head (Credit Life – PNB MetLife) Irfan Ali Zargar reminded the customers of the goodwill J&K Bank has for its customers. “Being their well-wisher, J&K Bank always advises its clients to get their loans insured so that their loved ones are taken care of, in case, unpredictable eventualities put difficult financial burden upon them”, he said.
