Kargil, April 25: In a remarkable initiative aimed at bolstering electoral participation, Zanskar Sub-Division orchestrated an event under the auspices of Sub-Divisional Magistrate Romil Singh Donk and Tehsildar/AERO Mohd Hassan.
The Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) program unfolded against the awe-inspiring backdrop of Daradrung Glacier in Penzila, captivating the community with its call to action.
Attended by a diverse array of stakeholders, including Executive Engineer Hydraulics Furman Ali, students, and esteemed senior staff members from Higher Secondary School Phey and Padum, the program resonated with the spirit of democratic engagement.
A poignant highlight was the heartfelt pledge taken by all participants, reaffirming their dedication to upholding the principles of free and fair elections. Students, in particular, seized the opportunity to elucidate on the significance of voter awareness and civic responsibility, showcasing their talents through traditional folk songs with a modern twist.
