Sunjwan Terrorist Attack case: NIA files charge sheet against 12 persons

Srinagar, Oct 19: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday filed a charge-sheet against 12 accused persons including 7 foreigners in NIA case relating to the conspiracy hatched among various terrorist operations in Kashmir and Pakistan.
In a statement, the NIA spokesman said they have filed a charge-sheet in NIA Special Court, Jammu against 12 accused persons in NIA case relating to the conspiracy hatched among Kashmir-based terrorist operatives, Pakistan-based leadership/handlers and terrorists of proscribed terrorists outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), in furtherance to which, two JeM terrorists were infiltrated into India through a tunnel.
“This tunnel had been excavated on the International Border in the area falling under BOP Chack Faqira in the Samba sector in J&K in order with the intention of disrupting the scheduled visit of Prime Minister in the Jammu region of J&K,” he said.
The spokesman said the movement of the terrorists was intercepted by the security forces and both the terrorists were killed in an encounter with the security forces in the area of Sunjwan, Jammu.
The case was initially registered as FIR No. 115/2022 dated 22.04.2022 at PS Bahu Fort, Jammu and re-registered by NIA on 26th April.

It further said, slain terrorist number 1 of JeM resident of Pakistan (charge stands abated) slain terrorist number 2 of JeM r/o Pakistan. (charge stands abated). Besides, charges were also filed against Masood Azhar Alvi @ Masood Azhar @ Maulana S/o Allah Baksh Sabir r/o Markaz Usman-o-Ali, Bahawalpur-Karachi Road, Bahawalpur, Pakistan.
Rouf Asgar Alvi @ Abdul Rouf Asgar S/o Allah Bakash Sabir r/o Kousar Colony, Bahawalpur, Pakistan. Mohammad Mussdaiq @ Doctor @ Abdul Manan @ Wahid Khan r/o Shakargarh-Sailkot, Pakistan, Shahid Latif @ Chotta Shahid @ Noor Al Din r/o Markaz Abdullah Bin Mubarak, Tehsil Daska, District Sialkot/More Aminabad, Gujranwala, Punjab, Pakistan.
Masood Ilyas Kashmiri @ Abu Mohammad r/o Rawalakot, PoJK, CC-Maktaba, Masror, Maqbool Shaheed, Near Markazi, Jamia Masjid Rawalakot, Poonch, POJK.
“Investigation revealed that the accused Shafeeq Ahmad Sheikh, Bilal Ahmad Wagay, Mohd Ishaq Chopan, Abid Mushtaq Mir, Asif Ahmad Sheikh, entered into a criminal conspiracy with two freshly infiltrated Pakistani JeM terrorists and JeM leadership.
“In the furtherance of which they received, transported and provided logistic support to newly infiltrated JeM terrorists who entered into Indian territory to execute a suicidal attack on the security forces and other vital installations in Jammu region with a view to disrupt the scheduled visit of Prime Minister of India on 24-04-2022,” the spokesman said.
“Further investigations in the case are in progress,” he said.
