Summer vacations announced for Kashmir Degree Colleges

KU postpones UG exams scheduled for July 15, 16.

Srinagar, July 12 : The Jammu and Kashmir Higher Education Department on Friday announced the summer vacation for all Government Degree Colleges in Kashmir Division and the winter zone areas of Jammu division from July 15th to July 24th this month.
According to an official order issued by the Principal Secretary of Higher Education Department, Alok Kumar, all Government Degree Colleges in Kashmir division and the Winter zone of Jammu division will observe the summer vacation from July 15th, 2024 to July 24th, 2024.
Meanwhile, in light of the recent announcement of the summer break in Kashmir colleges, the Kashmir University has decided to postpone all UG examinations for the 2nd and 4th semesters that were scheduled for July 15 and 16.
Dr. Majid Zaman Baba, the Controller of Examinations at Kashmir University, informed Rising Kashmir that the postponement was necessary due to the summer vacation in colleges across the Kashmir division.
“The examinations for the 2nd and 4th semesters, originally scheduled for July 15, 2024, and July 16, 2024, have been postponed due to the summer break in colleges. We will be issuing revised date sheets for the examinations separately,” Dr. Majid said.
Earlier, the Jammu and Kashmir Higher Education Department had declared a summer vacation for all Government Degree Colleges in Kashmir and the winter zone areas of Jammu division starting from July 15.
