Srinagar, Mar 10: Srinagar-based Suliemani FC, a grassroots football club that aims to promote sports among the youth of Jammu and Kashmir, has appealed to the government and local businesses for assistance in their mission. The club, which is self-funded by its members, is led by renowned football player Syed Mujtaba Razvi and supervised by coach Sajad Sarwar.
The club aims to attract young players from rural areas and help them pursue their careers in football, keeping them away from drugs and alcohol. The club is soon to organize team trials for U15 and U17 age groups, with contact numbers available for more information. The team also requested the government and sports councils to provide support to promote their initiative. The club will be distributing uniform kits, tracksuits, and bags among its players during a camp in Magam town on March 12, 2023.
