Jammu, Oct 09: AamAadmi Party’s Jammu province election in-charge and Cabinet Minister in Punjab governmentHarjot Singh Bains Sunday said that successive governments that remained in office in Jammu and Kashmir have failed the people of the region which is crown of entire country and it is due to the failure of successive governments and political parties that all the sectors in Jammu and Kashmir including healthcare and education are in worst state.
According to a statement, he was addressing a one day convention of AAP in Ramgarh area of Samba district.
Harjot Singh Bains said that Jammu and Kashmir is crown of entire country but poor condition of different sectors is a cause of concern and shows that successive governments that remained in office and political parties that have worked so far in Jammu and Kashmir have failed the people of the region and this is the failure of these political parties and successive governments that people are in a state of uncertainty.
He said that there is not even a single government hospital in Jammu and Kashmir which can compete with the private healthcare sector and condition of primary as well as secondary health institutions including Primary Healthcare centres in rural areas is on God’s mercy and no much concern has been paid by any of the  government to provide good health care services to the people and this is the reason due to which people in Jammu and Kashmir prefer to visit Delhi or Punjab to get good quality healthcare.
Harjot Singh Bains said that education sector in Jammu and Kashmir is yet another example of the failure of successive governments and condition of government education institutions and especially the schools is in worst state and students are not even having proper sitting facilities not to talk of proper water, electricity and hygiene.
“A number of government schools in Jammu and Kashmir are either building less or running in dilapidated buildings with improper teacher student ratio and a transfer policy dominated by influential men is further taking toll on this important sector,” Bains said.
He added that due to government education sector that is in worst state in Jammu and Kashmir, the private education sector is flourishing day by day and hefty fee collected from parents is burdening the lives of citizens.
He said that in Delhi, AamAadmi Party has given a world class education, healthcare, employment model alongwith other reforms and this is the reason for which Delhi has developed in all manners and is marching forward in inclusive development in only seven years of government of AamAadmi Party.
Regarding Punjab, Harjot Singh Bains said that AamAadmi Party is now taking Punjab towards a new era of inclusive development and betterment in all sections and sectors with landmark changes on positive sides have been brought in only six months of Government.
“Over 50 lakh families in Punjab have received zero bill of electricity as AAP is now providing 300 free units of electricity to each family and it has reduced a huge burden from the shoulders of these families,” said Harjot Singh Bains.
