Ganderbal, Aug 29: Students of Government High School Khanan Kangan on Tuesday staged protest against the non-availability of required teaching staff in their school.
Scores of students of Govt High school Khanan in Central Kashmir Ganderbal Distt boycotted their class work and held a protest demonstration and blocked Khanan Naranag link road for hours against non-availability of teachers in their school from past two months.
The students shouted slogans and said that their studies are affected due non availability of teachers in their institution. Students said that they apprised the concerned authorities about the matter many times but their pleas fell to deaf ears.
They appealed the concerned authorities to appoint teachers in the institution without any further delay.
Students said that there are 160 Students enrolled in the school and only three teachers are available due to which their education is affecting.
Later Zonal Education Officer reached the spot and assured them that their legitimate demands will be resolved within no time.
SHO Police Station Kangan also pacify the protester’s that their demand will be raised with the concerned authorities.
After the assurance of police, and ZEO, the protesting student’s lift the curbs made by them at the link road which eventually paved way to the stranded vehicles to their respective areas.
