A 14 Year old Student drowned to death in a Pond at Fish Point Sonamarg area Kangan of Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Saturday.
Reports reaching that a student identified as Shoaib Farooq (14) Son of Farooq Ahmad Chochi Baramullah Public School was on picnic in Sonamarg.
The reports further said that the student was drowned while taking bath near Fish Point Sonamarg.
Soon, after the incident police party from Police station Sonamarg along with Locals reached the spot and launched a massive rescue operation to fished out the boy from water, however after hectic efforts the body of the boy was retrieved from the pond .The body has been shifted to PHC Sonamarg
Sonamarg Police registered a case in this regard and started further investigation.
