Jammu, Feb 09: Additional Chief Secretary (ACS), Department of Forest, Ecology & Environment, Dheeraj Gupta on Friday exhorted the officers to ensure strict adherence to Public Service Guarantee Act (PSGA) guidelines while extending benefits of government services to common masses. He gave specific instructions regarding PMAY benefits and addressed some of the crucial grievances raised during the session.
Chairing a mega public darbar at Parwah panchayat in Marh block to assess the public grievances besides reviewing the development profile of the area, Gupta reaffirmed the administration’s commitment towards addressing every grievance promptly.
“It has always been our endeavour to assess and address the public grievances and demands on priority,” he said.
Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Sachin Kumar Vaishya, Additional District Development Commissioner, Sher Singh and other senior officers were present on the occasion. The event also witnessed the participation of public representatives including DDC member Balbir Lal, BDC Chairman Marh, former PRI representatives and others.
Prominent issues highlighted in the public darbar included the dilapidated condition of roads, repair of irrigation canals, installation of grates for field protection, infrastructural improvement in local schools, upgraded facilities in SDH, consistent power supply for farming activities and development of sports infrastructure in the block besides coverage of left out beneficiaries under PMAY, availability of veterinary facilities and dispensaries for the local population.
Dheeraj Gupta, responding to issues raised during the programme, assured the public that all their grievances and demands would be addressed on time. Later, the ACS handed over sanction orders to the beneficiaries under various government schemes including HADP.
