District President Democratic Progressive Azad party, Srinagar and youth leader Aamir Bhat has expressed his grief on the tragic death of a young boy who was chased to death by stray dogs at Batmaloo Srinagar.

“The frightened boy ran for safety while being chased by stray dogs and fell in to an open filthy uncovered drain at Batmaloo,” he said.

Bhat said this is enough to judge the in efficiency and callous attitude of Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC).

He said on one hand millions are spent on smart city and the drains and dirty drains of the interior areas of the city have turned in to death traps.

DPAP demands stringent action to be taken against the negligent officers of the Srinagar municipality.

“LG administration may provide financial compensation to the bereaved family. PAP expresses heartfelt sympathy for the bereaved family and stands in solidarity with them in this hour of grief,” Bhat said.
