SSP chairs PCPG, thana diwas meeting in remote Charar-e-Sharief area

    Budgam, Sept 27: A Police Community Partnership Group (PCPG) meeting under the Thana Diwas initiative was held Saturday at Chelan Tsunt Nard, under the jurisdiction of Police Station Chrar-e-Sharif. The meeting was chaired by SSP Budgam Shri Nikhil Borkar (IPS) and attended by ASP Budgam, DySP PC Chadoora, SHO PS Chrar-e-Sharif, and other police officers. Respectable citizens of the area, including traders, elders, and youth, actively participated in the interaction. As per a statement issued here, during the meeting, participants raised several issues related to public safety, community welfare, and local concerns. SSP Budgam gave a patient hearing to the grievances and assured that all genuine issues would be taken up and resolved in a time-bound manner. He emphasised the importance of police-public cooperation in curbing crime, strengthening communal harmony, and maintaining peace in the district. On the sidelines of the meeting, SSP Budgam also visited Government Middle School Bradipathri, where he interacted with students. As part of the Civil Action Programme, he distributed sports kits among the students, encouraging them to take part in extracurricular activities and adopt a healthy lifestyle.
