Patan, Apr 30: Dr. Rakesh Sehgal, the Director of NIT Srinagar, was bid a heartfelt farewell by SSM College of Engineering on Sunday, marking the completion of his five-and-a-half-year tenure at the prestigious institute. The event was graced by the presence of Dr. Sehgal’s wife, Mrs. Usha Sehgal, and the HOD Physics of NIT Srinagar.
The farewell party was organized to commemorate Dr. Sehgal’s achievements and the good work he has done during his tenure. Several speakers took to the stage to acknowledge and praise his inspiring journey, with Dr. Shah, HOD Physics department, NIT Srinagar, expressing his gratitude towards him.
Mrs. Dilafrose Qazi, Vice Chairperson of the college, also thanked Dr. Sehgal for the support he had given to the college during his tenure. In his speech, the chief guest of the event, Dr. Sehgal, expressed his gratitude to everyone present and humbled the students with his inspiring words, encouraging them to never settle for less.
The event concluded with the dignitaries of SSM College of Engineering presenting Dr. Sehgal with a token of love and remembrance, bidding him farewell as he moves on to new challenges and opportunities.
