Srinagar, Jan 20: Save Sharda Committee Kashmir (SSCK) has dispatched holy water from Sharda Peeth in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) to the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya for the Pran Pratishtha scheduled for January 22, 2024.
In a press release, SSCK Head and Founder Ravinder Pandita said the holy water was handed over to VHP leaders through their member Manjunath Sharma, who presented it to Shri Koteshwar Rao in Ayodhya.
The holy water was sent by civil society members across the Line of Control (LoC) to Ravinder Pandita in September last year via Britain, as postal services between India and PoK are currently suspended, according to the statement.
“We had sent pious soil and shilas to Ram Mandir during the shilanyas three years ago,” he said.
“The consecration of the idol of Bhagwan Ram is the second Pran Pratishtha after the consecration of the Sharda Temple at LoC Teetwal on June 5, 2023, since independence,” Ravinder said, adding, “We will lit diyas on January 22 at Sharda Temple LoC Teetwal.”
