Srinagar, Mar 08: In the 23rd All India Police Water Sports Championship 2023-24, the Back Lawn of SKICC in Srinagar, Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) emerged as the undisputed champions, securing a whopping four out of six trophies in various water sports categories.
In a statement, the SSB Spokesman proudly announced their victories, stating, “SSB continues to prove its prowess in water sports, clinching top honours in Kayaking Women, Canoeing Women’s, Rowing Women’s, and Kayaking Men’s events.”
The championship, inaugurated on March 4th by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, attracted 30 teams, comprising 20 Men’s and 10 Women’s teams, totaling around 500 skilled players. The tournament also welcomed 60 technical officials and team managers to ensure the smooth conduct of the events.
SSB’s outstanding performance was further highlighted by their impressive medal tally, securing a total of 33 medals. Among these, they bagged 17 Gold, 10 Silver, and 6 Bronze medals, showcasing their dominance and exceptional skills in various water sports disciplines.
On March 04, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha inaugurated the 23rd All India Police Water Sports Championship 2023-24 (Men & Women) at Srinagar. A total of 30 teams (20 Men & 10 Women) comprising about 500 players and 60 Technical officials, Team Managers are participating in the tournament.
