Jammu and Kashmir Police on Thursday said that they have taken cognizance against posting some sensitive content by some person against a particular community in Srinagar.
In a post on X, The Srinagar police wrote, “Police has taken cognizance of the incident of posting of sensitive content against religious sentiments of a particular community by some individuals on SM platform.
“FIR No. 29/2024 u/s 299, 196 BNS has been registered in PS Shaheedganj & the accused have been arrested.”
Common public is appealed to desist from spreading rumours/false information. They shouldn’t fall prey to false propaganda of anti-social elements. Legal action shall be taken against those who are found to be involved in provocative act/instigation, reads the post.
