Srinagar District Judo Championship 2023 set to kick off

Srinagar, Sep 16: In a much-awaited sporting event, the Jammu & Kashmir Judo Association is all set to host the Srinagar District Judo Championship from the 19th to the 20th of September, 2023. The competition will take place at the prestigious Indoor Sports Hall, Polo Ground in Srinagar. This championship promises to be a platform for budding judo talents from the region to showcase their skills and compete for glory.
The organizers have urged all aspiring judo players interested in participating in the championship to report to their respective coaches before the commencement of the event, along with their Date of Birth certificates or Aadhaar proofs, by no later than the 19th of September, 2023. This is a crucial step to ensure the smooth registration of participants.
Under the patronage of the Jammu & Kashmir Sports Council, the Srinagar District Judo Championship will provide a competitive stage for judokas of various age groups and genders. The championship is open for Sub-Junior, Cadet, Junior, and Senior judo enthusiasts, both boys and girls. This inclusive approach aims to foster the growth of judo across different age categories and genders, promoting the sport’s development at all levels.
The winners of the championship will have the honor of receiving one Gold, one Silver, and two Bronze medals in their respective categories. Additionally, merit certificates will be awarded to recognize outstanding performances. Participants who do not secure podium finishes will also receive participation certificates as tokens of appreciation.
