Srinagar, May 09: The Chief Engineer, Jammu and Kashmir Power Transmission Corporation Limited (JKPTCL), Friday announced a scheduled power shutdown to facilitate essential work on the 132 kV Bemina–Rawalpora transmission line.
The shutdown is required to carry out dismantling and de-stringing of the conductor between tower locations 22 and 26, along with other necessary works to increase ground clearance between towers 24 and 26. This activity has been necessitated by the ongoing construction of the flyover at Sanat Nagar Chowk in Srinagar. As a result, the 33 kV Silk Factory and 33 kV Rawalpora lines will remain shut, affecting power supply to the following areas: Allochibagh, Rambagh, Solina, Tulsibagh, Cargo, Rawalpora, Sanat Nagar, Industrial Estate Sanat Nagar, Hyderpora, and Majeed Bagh. Power supply to these areas will remain suspended from 5:00 am to 9:00 am on May 13 and May 14.
