SPO disengaged by SSP Anantnag in NDPS case

Srinagar, April 17 : In a firm step reinforcing discipline and integrity within the force, the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Anantnag has disengaged Special Police Officer (SPO) Mohammad Ashraf Malik, son of Mohammad Ramzan Malik and a resident of Kuchal, Kishtwar.

According to police, the SPO was found involved in FIR No. 57/2023 registered under Sections 8/20 of the NDPS Act at Police Station Devsar. Following the serious nature of his alleged involvement, departmental proceedings were initiated, resulting in his removal from service.

The police reiterated that it maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward any form of misconduct or involvement of personnel in unlawful activities.
