Speed up work at Jamia Masjid Shopian: DM

Shopian, May 01: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Faz Lul Haseeb in his maiden visit to the field on Monday conducted a tour of the town and visited the historical Jamia Masjid Sharif, Clock Tower and culture hub at the Municipal Council.
At Jamia Masjid, the DC interacted with the members of the Auqaf body who apprised him of various issues. The DC directed the concerned to accelerate the pace of developmental work for the beautification of the Jamia Masjid. He directed the Executive Officer Municipal Council Shopian to maintain proper cleanliness in and around the mosque.
At the Town Hall Shopian, the DM took stock of the under-construction work and asked the concerned officers to complete it within the stipulated timeframe.
The DC was accompanied by Assistant Commissioner, Revenue, Shahbaz Ahmed Bodha and other concerned officers. President MC, Shopian, Subhash Koul was also present during the visit of DM to MC Shopian.
