Special training on NDPS case investigation concludes at DPO Budgam

Budgam, Oct 03: A five-day specialized training program on investigating NDPS cases concluded today at the District Police Office Budgam. The training, held from September 29 to October 3, 2025, was organized under the guidance of SSP Budgam, Shri Nikhil Borkar (IPS). The initiative aimed to enhance and update the skills and knowledge of Investigating Officers handling NDPS cases. Police personnel from all departments within District Budgam, including PSIs and readers involved in narcotics investigations, actively participated in the sessions. Led by Shri Dar Rashid, Senior Prosecuting Officer at DPO Budgam, the training covered procedural protocols under the NDPS Act and included detailed briefings on landmark Supreme Court judgments related to narcotics cases. The program emphasized advanced techniques in financial and technical investigations, with a particular focus on the provisions of the PIT NDPS Act and the preparation of comprehensive dossiers. The training concluded with a reaffirmation of the J&K Police’s commitment to strengthening the professional expertise of its officers, ensuring more effective and legally sound handling of narcotics-related investigations.
