Srinagar, Nov 29: The educational tour of Integrated MSC Environmental science (5th /6th) semester of SP College students to district Rajouri and its adjoining areas has concluded successfully on Wednesday.
The group comprising of 25 students and 05 faculty/non-teaching staff were received by the Principal SP College Prof. (Dr.) Ghulam Jeelani Qureshi in the campus.
He appreciated the efforts of all the stakeholders in making the educational tour successful. The touring party apprised the principal of the knowledge and experience acquired during the tour in understanding the various facilities available in the region and enabled them to study the ecological set up of the area.
The tour Incharge Dr. Gowhar Hamid Dar, Assistant Professor, Environmental Science summarized the activities carried on the tour for the benefit of the students to make them understand the critical aspects of biodiversity and challenges in the area.
He further thanked all the stakeholders including the authorities at Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University, KVK SKUAST Jammu, Fisheries Department, Forest Department etc.
Among others who accompanied the students on the tour included Prof. Abdul Rouf Farooqui, Dr. Imran Khan, Laxmi Digra and Mohammad Shafi Guchoo.
