SP College organises Intra and Inter District Level College Painting Competitions

Srinagar, Oct 28: As the part of UT foundation day 2023 celebrations, Sri Pratap College, Srinagar organised intra and inter District college painting competitions on the themes ‘Corruption Free & Poverty Free Future and Ideals of Ek Bharat Shresht Bharat’.
The events saw large participation of students from different colleges of district Srinagar. Arshad Sauleh (Expert Art Teacher from College of Education, Srinagar), Prof. Roohie Jan (Associate Professor English) and Dr. Amrit Sudarshan (Assistant Professor Human Genetics) acted as jury members for the events.
 The events were coordinated by Dr. Qazi Ashiq Hussain, Prof. Shahid Ahmad Wani, Dr. Javid Ahmad Andrabi and other members of the college Eco-Club.
 Arshad Sauleh on the occasion gave an expert lecture to the participants and explained the technical aspects of the art of painting and poster making.
The Principal of the college Prof. (Dr.) Ghulam Jeelani Qurashi encouraged students for participation in such events and emphasised the importance of arts in expressing human feelings and communicating a higher level of thinking. Iflah Mushtaq of Sri Pratap College, Srinagar was adjudged as the winner of the district level event.
The valedictory ceremony was coordinated by Dr. Qazi Ashiq Hussain and Dr. Mansha Nisar presented the formal vote of thanks on the occasion. 
 
 
SP College orgainises Inter-college quiz
An inter-college quiz on the theme “Schemes, Policies and Programmes for various sections of the society in the UT of J&K” was organized by the PG Department of Information Technology of SP College to commemorate the celebrations of UT Foundation Day 2023.
Students from ten different colleges of Srinagar District participated in the quiz including Amar Singh College, Govt. College of Education, Govt. College for Women M.A Road, Islamia College of Science and Commerce including SP College and others. Question pertaining to the latest schemes, policies and programmes for various sections of the society in the UT of J&K were asked to the participants in the quiz via a google form.
Students participated with a lot of enthusiasm and vigor.
A felicitation ceremony was held in the college auditorium wherein all the winners and participants were given certificates by the Principal of the College, Prof (Dr.) Ghulam Jeelani Qurashi and the program co-ordinator and Head, Department of Information Technology, Prof. Zarka Malik.
Third position was bagged by Sania Shabir from Govt. College of Education, second position was given to Imroze Rashid from Amar Singh College while the first position was bagged by Tawsief Mohi ud din Sofi, SP College, Srinagar.
