Social Welfare dept hosts pension & grievances redressal camp at Mandi

  Poonch, Sep 15: The Social Welfare department Monday organised a Pension and Grievance Redressal Camp in Mandi. According to a statement issued here, a large number of people from across the three blocks of Mandi, Sathra and Loran attended the camp. The participants from remote and hilly villages raised their issues, particularly related to old age pensions, widow and disability pensions, and the State Marriage Assistance Scheme. Many participants highlighted delays in financial assistance and sought clarity on documentation and eligibility requirements. District Social Welfare Officer (DSWO) Khalil A Banday listened patiently to all the grievances and assured the public that their concerns would be taken up for redressal on priority, especially issues linked to pension disbursement and marriage assistance. He emphasized the department’s commitment to ensuring that genuine beneficiaries receive timely benefits without unnecessary hurdles. The locals welcomed the initiative of the department for addressing grassroots level concerns.
