Budgam, Dec 28: The district administration of Budgam on Saturday said that it has cleared snow from all major roads following heavy snowfall Kashmir Valley.
Deputy Commissioner Budgam, Akshay Labroo, informed Rising Kashmir that snow clearance operations have been completed on all major roads throughout the Budgam district.
“The snow clearance efforts have also commenced on all link roads within the district. Traffic is currently moving smoothly on all vital roads in Budgam,” he said.
Chief Medical Officer Budgam, Dr. Ayoub Fateh Khan, said that patient care services in hospitals are operating normally, with no incidents of road accidents or medical emergencies reported in the district.
“There was one patient who was unable to reach the hospital independently. The health department, in collaboration with the Sub-Division Administration of Khansahib, responded promptly to the area and transported the patient to Beerwah Hospital,” he added.
Additionally, the Budgam Police have been actively assisting patients, commuters, and tourists stranded on various roads throughout the district, particularly in remote areas, and have successfully rescued tourists stuck in Doodhpathri. However, the Budgam Police has continuously helping patients, commuters and tourists who were stuck on roads at different places across the district especially in far flung areas and rescued Doodhpathri stranded tourists.
These timely interventions underscores Budgam Police’s unwavering dedication to serving community even in challenging circumstances. Tourists at Doodhpathri expressed gratitude towards Budgam Police for the timely assistance and care provided during the difficult times.
On the supervision of SSP Budgam Nikhil Borkar, Budgam Police constituted teams and deputed them across the district for providing a helping hand to the general public especially patients and to avoid any untoward incident or distress especially in far-flung areas prone to heavy snowfall in the district.
