Snow clearance resumes in Gurez

Bandipora, Feb 15: Snow clearance operations in Gurez valley of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district resumed on Wednesday.
Sub District Magistrate Gurez, Mudasir Ahmad told Rising Kashmir that since the avalanche warning level has come down, the clearance operation has been resumed in the avalanche prone areas of Gurez.
He said that one machine was deployed on Izmarg Jalandora road which has reached Jalandora and will march towards Kanzalwan.
He said that another machine was deployed for clearance of snowslides/avalanches on Chorwan road which has been completed.
“We will start snow clearance at Chak Nallah Tulail on Thursday which is also an avalanche zone”, he added.
