Jammu, Nov 4: Akash Srivastava of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University received the Shreshth UP Ratna Award for his research and innovation. He was an alumnus of the B Tech (2014-2017) mechanical batch. He received this honour on October 30 last month in the Shresth UP program of UP Development Foundation in Lucknow in the presence of Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak, Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, Deoria MP Ramapati Ram Tripathi and Cabinet Minister Dharamvir Prajapati.
In addition, Akash Srivastava has 29 patents, 19 design patents and 11 research papers. He is currently serving as a Chief Technology Officer at Flydex Automobiles Pvt Ltd, a startup funded by Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University Technology Business Incubation Center.
In this program, about 36 people from across the Indian states have been honoured for social service, environment, education, research, sports, medicine, media, literature, cinema etc. The program was conducted by Chandra Bhushan Pandey, Independent Director, National Chemical Factory.
On the occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak, while addressing the gathering, sent best wishes for the future to all the awardees and asked them to continue working for society and the state.
