In response to the heavy rainfall in the city, the Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) under the directions of Commissioner SMC Dr.Owais Ahmad (IAS), has proactively mobilized its workforce and machinery to tackle the challenges posed by waterlogging.

Swift action was taken by deploying personnel and machinery, including dewatering machines, to address waterlogging in affected areas. The dedicated team of SMC officials and employees exhibited exceptional efficiency in managing the situation effectively.

During the rainy days, the SMC’s toll-free numbers were inundated with calls from concerned citizens, and the SMC promptly responded to these grievances, ensuring timely resolution.

Maintaining a constant state of vigilance, the SMC is committed to providing hassle-free services to the residents of Srinagar. To streamline grievance redressal, the SMC has proactively shared its helpline numbers, enabling individuals to register their concerns conveniently. Furthermore, the SMC leverages various social media platforms to enhance communication and engagement with the public.

The SMC remains dedicated to ensuring the well-being of the city’s residents and will continue to take proactive measures to address any challenges that may arise due to inclement weather conditions.
