Srinagar:- May 01:- The Jammu & Kashmir People’s Democratic Party (PDP) on Friday held a workers’ meeting at Gundhasibhat (Central Shalteng), under the chairmanship of former MLA Batamaloo, Noor Mohammad Sheikh.
The meeting was attended by Incharge Habba Kadal Arif Laigroo, Incharge Lal Chowk Constituency Zuhaib Ahmad, District Coordinator Dr. Ali Mohammad Wani, Sheikh Saba, former Zone President Bashir Ahmad, Ward President Alochibagh Adil Ahmad Rather, Qamarwari Ward President Aijaz Ahmad Kar, Ward President Nundresh Colony Azhar Ahmad, senior leader Mohammad Yousuf Rashid, and other party leaders and workers.
Speakers emphasized strengthening grassroots outreach and urged party workers to actively gear up for the upcoming Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) elections.
On the occasion, Bashir Ahmad was selected by the party as its candidate from Lawaypora Ward for the upcoming Urban Local Body (ULB) elections.
Speaking on the occasion, Noor Mohammad Sheikh said,
“PDP has always stood for the aspirations of the people. Strengthening our grassroots base is key to addressing public issues effectively and ensuring better representation at the local level.”
Zuhaib Ahmad stated, “The enthusiasm among workers reflects the party’s growing strength. We must stay connected with people at every level and work collectively for success in the upcoming elections.”
Arif Laigroo said,
“Our focus remains on public outreach and addressing genuine concerns of the people. The cadre must remain united and committed to strengthening PDP at the grassroots.”
Dr. Ali Mohammad Wani added,“Organized and sustained efforts at the grassroots will play a crucial role in achieving success in the forthcoming municipal elections.”
The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment among workers to strengthen the party at the grassroots level and ensure active participation in the upcoming elections.
