Srinagar, Apr 02:Under Sunday for Srinagar Program, Srinagar Municipal Corporation Sunday organized an extensive sanitation drive in zones West, North, and South under “Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav”was held in Zone West ward No. 24/25 from state motor garage up to Ansari Toyota and Zone South Ward No.30 Padshahi Bagh upto Rather Mohalla phase 2nd.
The drive was held under the supervision of Chief Sanitation Officer,Zonal Sanitation Officer along with other officers from Srinagar Municipal Corporation.
Lifting of garbage and all unwanted grass was removed during the drive.
‘Sunday for Srinagar’ was launched in March and the motive of this initiative is to contribute to the city by spending time on Sundays in launching various programs including clean up drives, plantation and public awareness programs, SMC official said.
This program was jointly launched by Srinagar Municipal Corporation Commissioner Athar Amir and Mayor JunaidAzimMattoo.
