Srinagar, Apr 29: Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir (SKUAST-K) inaugurated the Competition Success Corner (CSC) at the Central Library today, a major step towards empowering students and scholars with specialized resources for competitive examinations and academic advancement. The inauguration was solemnized by Prof. N. A. Ganai,Vice Chancellor of SKUAST-K, who dedicated the facility to the students, marking a transformative milestone in the university’s academic journey. The CSC has been established as a state-of-the-art facility, setting a benchmark in the academic landscape at both the national and state levels. With a mission to foster a culture of academic excellence, self-improvement, and competitive preparedness among its students. The event was graced by Directors, Registrar, Dean Faculty of Horticulture, Dean Student Welfare, Heads of Divisions, Faculty members and students who hailed the initiative as a testament to SKUAST-K’s “Student-First Philosophy”.

Prof. Shabir Ahmad Wani, Director Planning and Monitoring, SKUAST-K, underscored the strategic importance of such initiatives in enhancing student competitiveness and institutional excellence. “This Competition Success Corner will play a pivotal role in equipping students with the tools, resources, and motivation required to thrive in highly competitive environments. It aligns perfectly with the university’s vision of fostering capable, confident, and forward-thinking graduates” Prof. Wani said.

In his address, Prof. N. A Ganai, highlighted the importance of creating an enabling academic ecosystem that supports students beyond the classroom. This initiative is part of SKUAST-K’s broader strategy to align academic services with the evolving needs of students in a competitive world, promoting a holistic and inclusive learning environment, he stated
