Srinagar, Feb 22: Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir scientist Prof Azmat Alam Khan has been inducted as a national fellow in the prestigious Indian Society of Animal Production and Management (ISAPM).
Prof Azmat Alam Khan, a chief scientist, presently working as Associate Director Research and OSD to Vice Chancellor at SKUAST-K, was awarded with lifetime fellowship of ISAPM during its 30th Annual Convention and National Conference on ‘Optimisation of Livestock Farming for the Sustainable Development in the Era of Climate Change’ held at Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Science University, Chennai.
Vice Chancellor, TNVASU, Prof Dr KN Selvakumar, felicitated Prof Khan during the inaugural function of the conference in presence of the President and General Secretary of ISAPM.
Dr Khan has been awarded the Fellowship of ISAPM for his Academic Research and Extension contribution in the field of Animal Sciences at National Level.
Dr Khan BVSc & AH from SKUAST-K has earned Masters and Doctorate from Indian Veterinary Research Institute Izatnagar.
He qualified JKAS in 2001 but chose Academic and Research Career to Administration. He has handled prestigious externally funded projects, guided 12 Masters and PhD students and has more than 500 publications to his credit which include more than 150 Peer reviewed research publications in national and international journals of repute.
