Srinagar, June 22: American Phytopathological Society (APS) is organizing the International Conference on Plant Health in July 2024 in the USA. This conference brings together leading Scientists, Research Scholars, and students working in the field of Plant Pathology and related disciplines across the globe.
SKUAST-Kashmir Ph.D. Scholar Ms. Sehla Khursheed working under the guidance of Dr. Mehraj D. Shah, Prof and Head, Division of Plant Pathology, Faculty of Horticulture, Shalimar, Srinagar, J&K has been awarded an International Travel Grant by the Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India to present her research findings at the International Forum. Prof. Nazir A. Ganai, Vice Chancellor, SKUAST-Kashmir congratulated the students and her mentor for the achievement.
He further said that the research work carried out at SKUAST-Kashmir is at par with international standards and presenting such work in the upcoming international event will highlight the quality of work being conducted at SKUAST-K. He advised the scholar to use this opportunity for international networking.
Prof. Shabir A Wani, Dean, Faculty of Horticulture, SKUAST-K also congratulated and complimented the scholar, her advisory committee and the whole Division of Plant Pathology for the achievement and quality research work being carried out in the Division with state-of-art facilities for PEQ, disease diagnosis and management. Pertinent to mention the SKUAST-Kashmir’s recent endeavours at internationalization have started bearing fruits with increasing number of students getting overseas placements.
