Srinagar, Jan 19: SKUAST-Kashmir organised orientation cum training programme on ‘Innovative Extension Approaches for Promotion of Agriculture in Jammu and Kashmir’, here on Thursday.
The programme was chaired by Director Research SKUAST-Kashmir Prof. Sarfaraz A Wani and attended by district level officers of Department of Agriculture–Kashmir and scientists of KVKs.
Director Research in his inaugural address briefed about the project and role of extension functionaries/KVKs in implementation of the project. He stressed upon the coordination and cooperation for effective and timely implementation of the components of the project for holistic development.
Prof. Masood Saleem Mir Associate Director Extension and Chairman of the Project and Dr. Irfan Ahmad Bisati Associate Professor and Co-PI gave the presentations.
A threadbare discussion about the project implementation was carried by the house and the queries were cleared by the project leaders.
Nodal officer Prof. Nasir Ahmad Dar presented the vote of thanks.
